NNRC-METU housed in two main branches. One unit is in METU-Central Laboratory Building which is located on the METU Campus within a short walk of the academic departments of the Center participants. It is comprised of several laboratories that contain instruments for advanced analytical characterization, wet labs, a class 100 clean room and administrative offices. Altogether these user facilities provide investigators with access to the specialized fabrication and characterization required for researchers in the NNRC-METU. Integration of these instruments into user facilities rather than individual investigator laboratories has enabled the greatest access of the equipment to all NNRC members and national users who are actively engaged in experimental research. Moreover, this unit also provide a natural meeting places for participants from across campus to share technical expertise through seminars, training courses and workshops which enhance interdisciplinary exchange.

The second unit, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Research Center is located in the Biological Science Building again on METU Campus. This unit is a state-of-the-art Shared Technology Facilities facility in the field of life sciences and biotechnology encouraging research alliances across disciplinary boundaries. These facilities serve both faculty and students to enable research and familiarize students with highly specialized equipment and techniques in bionanotechnology.
